Maintenance

Planned and preventative maintenance is of utmost importance to electrical equipment in avoiding unnecessary downtime.  We offer many years of experience in the competent maintenance of the following equipment to the highest standards. (Not limited to these listed below)

Our MCC maintenance includes the following inspections:

• Busbar chamber inspections
• MCC buckets
• Switchgear 
• Disconnects and Splitters

Amptech has had the privilege of working hand in hand with ABB engineers since 2001 with drive maintenance contracts, repairs and VFD upgrades and the commissioning thereof. Dust and lack of ventilation are contributing factors to the failure of these electronic devices. We offer  the following on all brands of VFD's:

• Replace maintenance parts as per OEM (Fans etc)
• Disassemble/re-assemble VFD and remove excessive dust from power electronics and heatsinks
• Check cards and wiring for hot connections, dry solder
• Cleaning of enclosures, tidy wiring and ducting, if applicable .

All maintenance activities include the following services if required

• Critical defects are repaired immediately, if possible
• Room cleaning/dusting of panels
• Filter replacements and cleaning of ventilation
• Reports/defect lists
• Confirmation of correct labelling (Fuse rating, Circuit, etc.)
